Get a head start into the career of your choice while you complete your VCE or VCAL. An SBAT will give you the option of combining part-time employment and training with your schooling. In order to undertake an SBAT you will need an employer just like when you do a full apprenticeship. Your SBAT will also become an integral part of your secondary school education so you will need to get your training plan approved by your school as well as the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). With an SBAT you will complete the first year of your apprenticeship over two years.
The vocational training components of your SBAT will also give you credits towards your VCE or VCAL certificate .So once you finish secondary school, you will be able to move into a full-time apprenticeship with your employer or take your studies further at TAFE or university.
