Aspiring writers launch Painted Words 2019

Aspiring writers studying at Bendigo TAFE have launched Painted Words 2019, a perfect bound book containing original short stories, flash fiction, poetry, non-fiction, science fiction, and short screenplays.

The 500-page book is the fifteenth anthology produced by students enrolled in professional writing and editing courses at Bendigo TAFE.

Bendigo TAFE CEO Sally Curtain said the annual production of Painted Words offered aspiring authors an opportunity to enter the industry with published material under their names.

“Congratulations to the students involved in producing and contributing work for Painted Words 2019,” she said.

“Bendigo TAFE’s professional writing and editing courses support aspiring writers with more than just skills.

“Through Painted Words, we provide a practical platform for students to get their work published. This gives our students a clear edge over others as they pursue success in a highly competitive industry.

“Many of our graduates have already made big names for themselves as acclaimed authors, journalists, scriptwriters and publishers. We have high expectations for our current cohort and wish them the very best for their futures.”

Painted Words 2019 was produced by Bendigo TAFE’s professional writing and editing diploma students, with writing contributed by certificate IV and diploma students.

Painted Words 2019 is available at Bendigo TAFE’s City Campus library.
