Bendigo TAFE recognised amongst Campaspe business leaders

Bendigo TAFE Echuca Campus’ Skills and Jobs Centre has been recognised for its community impact in the Campaspe Murray region.  
 
Since opening in 2023, the centre has provided support to more than 1,000 individuals through close collaboration with local schools, employers, and community organisations. 

The centre was acknowledged as a finalist at the 2024 Campaspe Murray Business Awards' in the  Professional Services – Community Award category, celebrating the support provided to locals aiming to join the workforce, engage in training or develop new skills. 

Located in the heart of Echuca Moama’s business district, Bendigo TAFE Echuca Campus’ Skills and Jobs Centre is not only an essential resource for individuals; it also assists employers in fulfilling their workforce needs. 

Services on offer include free career advice on training and employment opportunities with qualified career advisors. Services are confidential and accessible to anyone, both in-person and online. 

 

Recent initiatives include working with Campaspe Cohuna Local Learning & Employment Network (LLEN) to deliver workshops for Year 9 students across the region, supporting them to prepare for work experience, connect to part-time work opportunities, and explore career pathways. 

The centre has also provided career support to more than 80 local retrenched workers and participated in more than 20 career expos and events to support the community with vital career advice.
