Bendigo TAFE Scholarship and Grant programs

If financial hardship is a barrier to you achieving your​ studies, our Scholarship and Grants programs may be an option for you. At Bendigo TAFE, we’re here to support you throughout your study journey. We have scholarships and grants available to help you achieve your goals. 

Education Support Scholarships

Education Support Scholarships are available across a number of study areas/departments at Bendigo TAFE, providing prospective students with assistance financing course fees. The Education Support Scholarship allows for students’ course fees to be waived or reduced, these include tuition and non-tuition costs.

Who is this scholarship for?

·       An Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or holder of an eligible Visa who is facing financial hardship.

·       Students need to be offered a place in their chosen course before applying for a scholarship.

·       If you’re under the age of 18, you’ll need to obtain parental/guardian consent before submitting a scholarship application.

Access Scholarship

The Access Scholarship is designed to lift financial pressures from enrolled students, to assist with the successful completion of their course.

Who is this scholarship for?

-       Domestic and international students currently enrolled in any course at Bendigo TAFE.

-       Students must be able to provide evidence of financial or personal disadvantage. Personal disadvantage  may come in the form of death in the student’s immediate family, family violence, homelessness and other circumstances with may be at the officers’ discretion.

-        Students currently studying at Bendigo TAFE with current outstanding fees. 

Mick Young Scholarship

Mick Young Scholarships honour the memory of Mick Young, who believed that education creates opportunity and has the capacity to change the lives of individuals, families and communities.

Who are the Mick Young Scholarships for?

·       Prospective domestic students with a temporary Australian Visa, or non-Australian residents. It is not valid for International students.

·       Applicants must be experiencing extreme financial hardship, and are able to provide evidence of this.

·       Applicants must have been offered an offer into their chosen course before applying for a scholarship.

Scholarships for Australian Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people

Bendigo Tafe’s Indigenous Education Centre works closely with a number of organisations to provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across a number of different areas. 

H3: The First Nations Architectural Support Scholarship – Architectus

The First Nations Architectural Support Scholarship supports First Nation students who show a passion for the Building and Construction industry.

Bendigo TAFE’s Indigenous Education Centre works closely with a number of organisations to provide Scholarships and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across a number of different areas.

Who are the Architectus scholarships for?

·         Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students studying Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) (22477VIC), Certificate IV in Business (BSB40120) or Diploma of Graphic Design.

·         Applicants must be able to provide evidence of financial or personal disadvantage that has prevented them from being able to undertake their courses.

·         Applicants must demonstrate commitment and passion to excel in the building and construction industry.
