My name is Arpawadee Miles and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I am currently employed as an early childhood educator in Bendigo. A typical day for me would be ensuring the health and safety of the children in my care and provide experiences to support children’s play and learning.
This is a career path that I always knew I would like to explore as I enjoy working with children.
After meeting my husband and moving to Bendigo from Thailand 10 years ago I completed the Certificate III in Spoken and Written English (10729NAT) at Bendigo TAFE, which I found was a great place to study and to improve my English and writing skills. After completing a Certificate III in Children’s Services, I didn’t hesitate to use Bendigo TAFE again to study and complete the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50121).
The skills I learnt from studying the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care gave me the confidence to succeed, not only at work but in my everyday life. These skills are current best practice for my industry.
I would highly recommend Bendigo TAFE to anyone wanting to undertake tertiary education as the facilities were fantastic. I found many of the teachers previously worked in the industry bringing with them real life experiences and knowledge and my fellow students were great!
My plan for the future is to continue studying, my next course being the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, to become an early childhood education teacher.
